How do you relieve middle back pain?

The past week I have been working a temp job, filing a lot of paper work into folders, and rearranging the files into chronological order but my back has been hurting.

I%26#039;m althletic, and my previous jobs have been moving around, standing all day, and far from repitious. I don%26#039;t even have this much pain after a 3 hour martial arts workout.

I%26#039;ve been stretching every hour and do not wan to keep popping pain killers. What else could I do to lower the pain?

The dress environment is business casual so I am not allowed to wear sneakers, but I do not have to wear heals. I have been wearing casual shoes with dress socks.

Thanks in advance

How do you relieve middle back pain?
Warm moist heat helps during working hours. If it is swollen, when you get home, throw the ice to it. Sounds as if you have twisted a nerve or even pulled a muscle. This is a very uncomfortable predicament!
Reply:I would suggest having a friend or loved one pop your back. Lay on the floor, arms at your sides. Have your friend put a hand on either side of your spine and push down. This is what ALWAYS relieves middle back pain for me. Pay attention to your posture while you are working.
Reply:I would have to say wear shoes that have a slight heel. You don%26#039;t want to wear flats or high heels. Get a comfortable wedge. When you do your filing, sit at a desk, feet flat on the floor, and back straight but relaxed. While you are filing, you can go ahead and put the files in chronological order. If this doesn%26#039;t help, get a heating pad and some ibuprofen. A good boyfriend/husband who knows how to massage backs always works.
